Navigation on the road?

1 Jan 1947

367 GO NAVIGATION ON THE ROAD? When the Queen Mary enters a busy port, she and all the other vessels obey the recognized lights and signals on which safe navigation depends. We, too, obey lights and signals — and rely on them for safety — when we drive or ride or walk on the roads. We are, in fact, "road navigators." Modern traffic simply could not work without a set of rules which we all accept. Why, then, are there still accidents — far too many? Partly because we don't all know and understand the principles of Road Navigation.
