We minesweepers keep the sea roads clear… Do You?

1 Jan 1943

This advertisement will appear in March Popular and Women's Weeklies, 1943. —We minesweepers keep the Sea roads clear... You're shipmates with me, in a way of speaking Our job is to keep the sea-roads clear for the United Nations' ships of war: I by destroying enemy mines; you by living as much as possible on home-grown foods. Not very spec- tacular perhaps, but it's one of the most important jobs of the war. And it's one on which we can't let up for a moment. So carry on, shipmates! It's the keeping on that wins.
