An Appeal to Growers Large & Small The need for green vegetables to maintain the people in a state of good health, was never so great as it is this year. Green vege- tables supply the vitamins that in peace-time were obtained from fresh fruit. Lack of these vitamins can be the cause of ill- health and, in extreme cases, scurvy. This is so important that the Government intends to launch next month an extensive publicity campaign drawing attention to the importance of green vegetables to health.
