Food Facts No. 101 Say it with a smile

1 Jan 1942

This advertisement will appear during late November, December and January in the Trade papers covering Grocers, Greengrocers, Fishmongers, Butchers, Hotels, Caterers, Shop Assistants and Co-operative Societies. SAY IT WITH A SMILE A tradesman's lot is not a very happy one these days. With the customer one side of him, and the Ministry the other, he gets many more kicks and far fewer ha'pence. So it isn't surprising if he some- times gets a bit " grouchy ". But what's the good? Cus- tomers' tempers are a little frayed too, by unavoidable war-time inconveniences, and back-chat at the counter doesn't make a happy shop.
