Food advice centre (Reading)

1 Jan 1941

FOOD ADVICE CENTRE The Ministry of Food wants to lighten the house- wives' task, to offer them a friendly helping hand with their wartime pro- blems. This war is going to be won on the Kitchen Front. Everything de- pends upon the use we make of our food supplies, upon the way we can learn to "make do" when some things are short. With this intention the Ministry is opening a new FOOD ADVICE CENTRE in the centre of Reading, a place where food or cookery questions, great or small, will be answered by women with a real working knowledge of to-day's food problems, gained in a kitchen like your own, and backed by special Ministry of Food training.
