This time next week at least 20 children, now alive and well, will be dead. For every day — every single day — 3 or more children die as the result of a road accident. Over 1,000 a year are killed and thousands more are maimed and injured, often so badly that they have no hope of Next week - 20 CHILDREN WILL BE KILLED IN ROAD ACCIDENTS ever becoming normal, healthy men and women. In this terrible total the five-year olds are the worst sufferers, while of all pedestrians killed, one-third are under 15 years.
