19th August Cosham, traffic terminated operating B. DETAILED SUMMARY OF AIR RAID DAMAGE IN THE PERIOD 19TH-26TH AUGUST, 1942. I. HOMELESS. During the night of August 22nd, bombs were dropped at Boston (Lincs.) and two rest centres were opened to accommodate 150 people. At Ramsey (Hunts.) both rest centres were put out of action on 22nd August. Fifty people were made homeless and it has not been reported what steps were taken to accommodate these. At Ventnor on 18th August a rest centre was opened but the number of people accommodated is not stated.
