REPORT OF A CONFERENCE CONVENED BY THE MINISTER OF FUEL & POWER ON FUEL RATIONING. Terms of Reference: (i) to consider whether it would be practicable to modify, to meet the changed circumstances, the coupon scheme for domestic fuel rationing outlined in the Annex to Cmd. 6364: (ii) to prepare a detailed scheme for the restriction of coal deliveries, on the general lines indicated in Part II of LP (42) 203: (iii) to consider whether, if coal consumption was to be checked by the restriction of deliveries, satisfactory means could be devised for checking any consequential increase in the domestic consumption of gas and electricity: and (iv) to devise means for restricting the sale of gas and electric appliances.
