will share in this decline; sugar stocks are forecast to decrease by nearly 150 thousand tons, and stocks of processe milk and flour by nearly 50 thousand tons in each case. Butter and bacon stocks should show some improvement on thei low end-1943 levels. The total increase in stocks (other than farm stoc during 1943 was very nearly 2 million tons, but in the case a number of individual commodities (e.g. sugar and rice) the incoming supplies during the year merely served to restore stocks to the end-1941 levels from which they had fallen during 1942.
