The Committee resumed their discussion of the question, raised at their meeting on the 14th November, whether any modification of existing machinery was required for the purpose of harmonising the shipping requirements of the Import Executive and the Allied Supplies Executive. THE LORD PRESIDENT said that there were four main calls on shipping - for military needs, for supplies to Russia, for the United Kingdom import programme.
