I. STATEMENT BY THE CHAIRMAN (i) THE CHAIRMAN referred to the objects of the Conference which had been stated by the Chairman of the J.I.C at the FIRST Meeting held on 8th September 1944. He mentioned that this Sub-Committee was concerned with Counter-Intelligence and Postal and Telegraph Censorship, and said that very little was known in London about the Counter-Intelligence and Censorship problems in the Far East. These problems might, to some extent, be comparable with those which existed in the U.K.
