ANNEX EASTERN AND SOUTH EASTERN EUROPE Military Dispositions Germany 1. No further increase of Russian forces in Germany has been reported, but fairly large-scale re-deployment appears to be taking place. There is some slight evidence to suggest that one of the Tank Armies, which has recently moved to Germany from the South, is in the process of replacing a Tank Army which formed part of the original garrison in south Eastern Germany, and which may be destined for later withdrawal to Russia.
