Scale of Attack by German Air Force in West. Note by Sec., Covering Report by J.I.C., SHAEF.

1 Mar 1945

ANNEX IC SHAEF (45) 15 (Final) 10 April 1945 SCALE OF ATTACK BY GAF IN THE WEST 1. In this paper we assess the capabilities of the German Air Force and the scale of attack which they might be able to put up during the next month. Scals of Effort 2. Owing to lack of fuel, the rapid Allied advance, the overrunning of German airfields and the necessity of the GAF to transfer itself quickly into Central Germany, only some 50-150 sorties are being flown per day which are having a negligible effect on our military and air operations.
