In our recent J.I.C. papers we have consistently expressed view that in event of total Italian collapse, Germany would still attempt to hold outer ring of Balkan defences, i.e. Dodecanese, Crete, Peloponnese, even if no reinforcements available over and above present garrison of Balkans as a whole.
