Whilst it would be impossible to make an accurate forecast of the length of time required for making good the damage referred to above, even if we were in possession of the fullest details, the available reports indicate that the periods required for making good that damage are as follows:(i) The Danube reports tend to show that the river will be blocked for two months, although the possibility of an earlier restoration of at least a part of the traffic must not be overlooked. (ii) The Railways a period of six weeks may be anticipated although some partial restoration may be effected earlier.
