If we are unable to re-open the BURMA road in 6 months it would appear that Chinese resistance may collapse. Accordingly we are studying the possibility of reviving the Chinese. 2. Assuming that:(a) We suffer no such major reverses as to cause the Chinese to abandon all faith in us. (b) We and the U.S.A. provide visual evidence of our support, such as through the supply of equipment by air.
