ANNEX. MEDAL/247. Your MEDAL/65. U.S. views, while generally in agreement are divergent as follows 1. Germany has already withdrawn numerous Divisions particularly armoured and bulk of air forces from Russian front and is resting and refitting them for new offensive, launching of which dependent on weather conditions rather than on any question of stabilization of front. Offensive might therefore take place in south as early as 15th May. 2. Timetables such as yours regarded as dangerous since dependent on many imponderables.
