2. EMPLOYMENT OF ALIENS BY OFFICERS (Previous Reference:. J.I.C. (44) 40th Meeting, Item 4) THE SUB-COMMITTEE had before them a minute by the Secretary (J.I.C./833/45 dated 30th June, 1945) covering a a minute by the Director of Naval Intelligence proposing revised regulations concerning the employment of aliens by officers of the Armed Forces. The following points were made in discussion:(i) Henceforth, officers should be allowed without prior approval except as in (ii) below, to employ aliens in domestic establishments but should, at the same time, give particulars of aliens so employed to the appropriate Security Officer.
