Security Service proposing stricter control of places of residence of neutral Service attaches and diplomatic officials. THE CHAIRMAN said that the Foreign Office had issued a circular on 6th May 1942 which in effect corresponded with one of the alternative proposals in the memorandum. He suggested that a further circular should now be issued by the Foreign Office drawing the attention of neutral diplomats to the previous circular. THE SUB-COMMITTEE:(i) Agreed generally to the policy proposed in the memorandum by the Security Service.
