intelligence for transmission to the Joint Intelligence Sub-Committee in London. This procedure ran counter to the procedure agreed upon whereby all intelligence of this nature should be sent to the Joint Intelligence Sub-Committee in London through the Joint Intelligence Committee in Washington. On the other hind, there were certain objections to discouraging the American authorities from passing on their information to us through this channel. THE SUB-COMMITTEE:(i) Invited the Chairman, on receipt of such information in future, to circulate it to the remaining members of the Sub-Committee: (ii) Instructed the Secretary to inform the British Joint Intelligence Committee in Washington of what had been decided.
