3. JOINT INTELLIGENCE BUREAU U.K. (Previous Reference: J.I.C.(45) 58th Mtg., Minute 12) GENERAL STRONG said that he ought to be in a position in the not too distant future to circulate to the Sub-Committee a memorandum showing the progress which had been made in discussions with the Treasury on the Joint Intelligence Bureau. He had reason to believe that so far these discussions had been favourable. There was one point on which he would like the approval of the Sub-Committee before he went any further.
