U.K. EYES ONLY CONFIDENTIAL (e) Before making a final decision as to whether security certificates should be demanded for students attending courses where no classified information is given, it would be preferable to see if any further instances of subversive activity occurred. If necessary, action to remove undesirable students from courses could be taken in conjunction with C.R.O. THE COMMITTEE:(1) Agreed that in the case of Commonwealth students attending courses at which classified information is given the present system of "ad hoc" security certificates should be retained and the new standard security certificates would not be required.
