TOP SECRET 2. SWEDISH DEFENCE (Previous reference: J.I.C.(52)138th Meeting, Minute 3, dated 10th December, 1952). REAR ADMIRAL BUZZARD said that it appeared from a recent letterø from the Foreign Office to the Secretary, Chiefs of Staff Committee, covering a letter from Mr. Stevens (Stockholm) to Mr. Mason (Foreign Office), that there was a danger of existing arrangements for these exchanges not being taken fully into account. Before the Chiefs of Staff discussed the Foreign Office letter he thought it would be advisable for the three Service Directors of Intelligence, the Director, Joint Intelligence Bureau, and a Foreign Office representative to meet in order to co-ordinate their views on this subject.
