German Scientists and Technicians. Report by the Joint Intelligence Committee

1 Jul 1949

intelligence against the Russians is obtained by us; the reverse is equally practicable. Where such return is to Berlin, these risks are intensified and there is also the possibility of overt or covert abduction. 12. Attached at Annex is a brief list of a few German scientists and technicians who may have acquired information of defence security interest which could subsequently have been made available to the Russians. It is not suggested that all or any of these men either acquired vital information in the United Kingdom or would give it voluntarily to the Russians if they had.
