2. INVITATIONS TO THE AIR DISPLAY AT RADLETT. (Previous Reference: J.I.C.(47) 51st Meeting (0) Minute 5) MR. JOHNSTON referred to the previous decision of the Sub-Committee that, in view of the fact that invitations had already been sent to, and accepted by, the Russians to attend the air display at Radlett, no action should be taken to prevent them from attending. In principle, however, they had still considered it undesirable for the Russians to attend the air display. Continuing, MR. JOHNSTON said that he understood that it might still be possible to prevent the Russians from attending if the Sub-Committee considered it necessary, but the Foreign office were of the opinion that it would be inadvisable to do so by refusing the granting of the visas.
