storage, prepared by the Joint Intelligence (Spain) Sub-Committee (Paper No. J.I.C. 49). A revised summary of air attacks on oil storages which had taken place between 22nd August, 1936 and 22nd January, 1938 was circulated at the meeting and it became evident that the Report as drafted had already become, to a large extent, out of date and, in its body, did not contain a detailed analysis based on the information which had now become available, since it was drafted in November, 1937. Attention was also drawn to Appendices C and D, giving accounts of air attacks on Malaga oil installation, which conveyed the impression of a wide divergence of opinion between the Petroleum Department and the Admiralty: this difference of opinion did not in fact exist, and it was, therefore, agreed that the two appendices should be summarised and merged into a single appendix.
