A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on West Europe: that the German situation in the north of the Cherbourg Peninsula is deteriorating, with the naval defence force to be used for harbour demolition, and not as reinforcement for land forces, on June 11; on Germany: that Hitler bans leave for the armed forces in all areas, except Crete and the Aegean islands, from June 13; on South Europe: of the 92nd Infantry Division withdrawing after an enemy break-through of the Outrage position; on a new battle HQ for the 14th Army southeast of Siena; and of the 1st Parachute Division being withdrawn, on June 12; and on the 26th Panzer Division being pushed into the line, east of Lake Bolsena, on June 12.
