A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on Western Europe: of the orders for battle group Kowalewski, on March 14; that Army Group B is to check a German Air Force (GAF) report that there has been a disorderly withdrawal of detachments of retreating personnel, on March 13; that on Goering's orders, there will be an appeal to all pilots who have completed training in fighter units to be ready for a secret operation from which there is only the slightest probability of returning, on March 13; on South-east Europe: an appreciation by the Commander in Chief (C-in-C) for the South-east, on March 9; of the numbers of evacuees from areas threatened by the Allies and re-settlement being caused by the air terror, on March 6; and that a German officer was court-martialled and found to be in grave dereliction of duty in operations concerning Remagen, and sentenced to death, on March 13.
