Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on South Europe: that Hitler orders that Italians civilians be ruthlessly employed in the construction of the German defence line in south Italy; of German naval operations against Pianosa and Capraia, planned for October 30 and 31; and that the 2nd Air Fleet is to assist in supplying Split by sea-rescue aircraft, on October 29; on South-east Europe: of a German vessel carrying troops being sunk en route to Kalymnos, on October 29; and on the Southern Russian Front: of German Air Force (GAF) reconnaissance, on October 29.
