Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on South Europe: that the Hermann Goering Division is to withdraw, on October 27; of the 2nd Air Fleet's reconnaissance orders for October 28 and a report for October 27; a report for the 76th Panzer Corps' area, on October 27; a 14th Panzer Corps report, for October 27; that Hitler orders the reoccupation of Pianosa, and that the Italians are to be dislodged from Capraia, on October 27; that the German Minister for Armament and War Production takes over the Italian armament industry, on October 27; and of British generals being in Italian hands, on October 26; on South-east Europe: the German 15th Mountain Corps reports the loss of Sanski with the heavy loss of men, on October 21; on West Europe: of a German Air Force (GAF) fighter unit being identified in France, on October 27; on the Southern Russian Front: of continued enemy attacks, on October 20; and that vessels are to arrive at Sevastopol by October 29 for a special operation.
