This file includes the following correspondence: from the Spanish minister in Tokyo, on the Japanese situation, as at July 31; from the Japanese ambassador in Rome, reporting an interview with Guariglia, the Foreign Affairs minister in Italy, on August 2; and from the Spanish minister in Stockholm, on Swedish fears of the Soviet Union, on August 4.
