Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on Southern Europe: of a proposed artillery lay-out in southern Italy, on July 31; on rules to be observed by German Air Force (GAF) vehicles or columns passing through Rome, from August 3; and on preparations to be made for carrying on Sardinian ferry traffic by night, on August 3 and 4; on Germany: of indications of the transfer of GAF fighters from Russia to the west, on August 3; Naval Headlines; and SHARK: reporting success on July 24 and 25.
