Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: of Rommel's plans for a withdrawal to Buerat, on December 31; a German report from Italian HQ, on December 31; and a 5th Panzer Army report for December 30; on the Southern Russian Front: that the 1st Panzer Army orders the acceleration of its withdrawal, on December 31; and on the Russian fronts: that the German Air Force (GAF) Commander in Chief (C-in-C) complains of the poor fighting qualities of the GAF's and army's emergency defence units, on December 31.
