A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: that Hitler orders all available fighting personnel and weapons of all branches of the armed forces in Africa are immediately to be employed at the front, on November 29; that the Panzer Army is anxious to know how many German Air Force (GAF) and naval personnel could be freed; of an Allied air raid on Tripoli, with many vessels being damaged or sunk, on November 29; of the supply programme for the Germans as at November 28, with particular emphasis on military equipment and ammunition; that the supreme command of the German armed forces requires information on the possibility of taking possession of warships in Bizerta, on November 28; that Bizerta requests 800 more dockers to be sent from Italy, on November 29; that the Italians are sending minor vessels to reinforce their navy in Tunisia, on November 29; that the GAF are to provide air support for Axis naval units operating off Bone on November 29/30; and that the Allied forces attacked Djedeida, some 15 miles from Tunis, on November 29, with additional GAF air support being required there.
