This file includes the following reports on the Mediterranean: of orders for measures to safeguard transport aircraft off-loading at Sardinia and Sicily, which are in danger from Allied air raids, on May 12; that two Italian Divisions, Taurinense and Venetia, are to take part in operation SCHWARZ; that airfields in the Pelopennese are to be protected by a German division; and that German troops on Rhodes are to be reinforced, on May 11; on the Russian Front: of an urgent request from the 4th Air Fleet for two Hungarian bomber units to be sent from Istres to Kiev, on May 10; of German Air Force (GAF) operational orders for May 14, being that the 1st Air Corps is to support cleaning up operations in front of the 17th Army, and the 4th and 8th Air Corps are to patrol the front of Army Group South; and on North Africa: of orders for a concentrated air raid by units of the 1st and 2nd Air Corps on Bone on May 14.
