A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: a German Air Force (GAF) evening report for February 7, stating that Allied forces are being reinforced east of the Tunisian border; and that GAF activities were restricted by poor weather; of the 21st Panzer Division's request for air reconnaissance west of Sened prior to a move into the area, on February 7; and a GAF situation report for February 6 covering Russia, Finland and Tripolitania; on the Russian Front: that orders from the 4th Air Fleet for February 6 include an air attack with its heaviest bombs against railway rolling stock in Bataisk, and close support of the 6th Panzer Division south east of Voroshilovgrad; and that the German Sea Defence Commandant in the Caucasus is confident of the containment of the Soviet forces south of Novorossisk, on February 2; on Yugoslavia: the GAF report air raids on Yugoslav camps and occupied localities; and the progress of the SS Division and the 369th Division against tough opposition in the Grmec Mountains, on February 6.
