Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following messages: from the Japanese minister in Rome, describing an interview with Mussolini out-lining Japanese aims and Italian views, on May 4; from the Greek ambassador in London, giving the views of Bogomolov on the Russian-Polish dispute, on May 6; from the Chinese chargé in Berne, detailing Russian interests, on May 4; that Berlin requests a report from the Embassy in Tokyo on a projected Japanese offensive against India, on May 5; the Japanese minister in Sofia speculates on the location of an Allied Second Front, on May 3; and Admiral Robert is ordered by Laval to scuttle French ships, destroy aircraft and sink gold in Martinique, on May 10.
