This file includes the following reports on North Africa: of German Air Force (GAF) units being ordered to attack 8th Army airfields, on April 21; an Army Group Africa report for April 19, including a summary of its remaining supplies of food, fuel and ammunition; a summary of GAF air strikes and reconnaissance, overnight on April 19/20; that superfluous tank crews are to return to the home theatre of war from Tunisia to form new tank units as an increase of tank numbers in Tunisia is unlikely because of the transport situation, from April 20; a Tunis Air Corps report of April 20 indicates that a continuous screen of up to 50 Allied fighters had been maintained off north-eastern Tunisia since April 19; that an Allied attack against the Dj El Blida area continues, on April 20; a detailed list of army and GAF vehicles in Italy ready for sea shipment to Tunisia, on April 18; and that a GAF dive-bomber unit in Tunisia is to return to Germany and re-equip instead of deploying to Sardinia, on April 20; and on the Russian Front: of claims for a successful German attack against Soviet forces in the Novorossijsk area, on April 19.
