This file includes the following reports on North Africa: that the German attack was broken off, with the front line unchanged; that an Allied force has been sighted in front of the Italian front line; that the Italian Trieste Division have regained a position captured by the Allies; on disagreement between the Italians over command of the flak defences of Tobruk, on July 15; of German-Italian discord over the allocation of space in shipping to Libya; on Allied action causing problems for Axis supply columns, on July 16; of a high mortality rate in the burned wounded who have been given incorrect treatment; and that the Italian tanker Fassio discharged fuel in Tobruk on July 15; and Naval Headlines, on a state of alert in the Channel Islands for the week following July 16.
