Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following correspondence: a message stating that Hermann Goering is to receive a visitor at his battle HQ; a message indicating that mine-laying aerial missions in the Black Sea will be flown from Zilistea in Romania; a German aircraft's report of an Allied naval formation in the Arctic Ocean; a German police report of the capture and shooting of twenty partisans in the southern sector of the Russian Front, and the shooting of over 3,000 Jews; and a message from the Turkish minister in Madrid reporting expected pressure from the Axis powers to allow the free passage of the Italian fleet into the Black Sea. This file also contains a Naval Headlines report of a convoy sighting and instructions for an attack by U-boats.
