A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: from German Air Force (GAF) flak defences in Tobruk, a report on the completion of the preparation of dummy fires, on July 18; that the GAF ordered signals aircraft and equipment to move to Tobruk for collaboration with night fighters, on July 20; on North Africa: of reinforcements for the Panzer Army being en route from Germany on July 19; and of a GAF recce on Suez, on July 20; on the Southern Russian Front: a German report of July 20; and of GAF orders for July 21; 1216/T21 was sent to the Director of Military Intelligence (DMI) (see 176).
