A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: the German Air Force (GAF) report the catastrophic motor transport situation and request the air transport of cars on December 1; on the Russian Front: a clothing report for the German 11th Army suggests 220,000 men, on December 2; Naval Headlines, covering Italian activity; the Japanese ambassador in Berlin reports on discussions with Ribbentrop on German war plans, with Germany urging resolve against the U.S. with the promise that Germany would join Japan in a war against the U.S., on November 29; and correspondence from Tokyo to the ambassador in Washington on the destruction of ciphers and files, on December 2.
