Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following reports on North Africa: that German Air Force (GAF) supplies are en route to Benghazi, on November 27; of a GAF query as to whether control of Italian Air Force fighters in German interests is provided for, from November 28; on the Russian Front: GAF operation orders for November 29 in the face of strong Russian pressure; and a GAF report for November 27 on Soviet air activity; on the Moscow Front: GAF air operations for November 28; the Turkish ambassador in Vichy reports on Franco-German negotiations, on November 25; Marshal Petain is to meet Hitler; the Japanese ambassador in Bangkok reports on Thai preparations for war on November 21; and Tokyo assurances to Berlin regarding negotiations with the U.S. on November 27; on Turkey: from Ankara comes a denial of a press report that the Germans will request transit facilities for movement against Egypt, on November 26; and the minister in Buenos Aires reports on Argentinian policy in the event of the U.S. entering the war, on November 25.
