Government Code and Cypher School: Signals Intelligence Passed to the Prime Minister, Messages and Correspondence

A file of signals intelligence reports, messages, and correspondence issued by the Government Code and Cypher School and sent by the head ('C') of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill. This file includes the following BONIFACE reports: that flying hours of aero engines were to be increased because of a shortage of replacements in the Mediterranean area, and 45 engines were en route from Germany to Italy as of December 29; a German report of Soviet forces south of Moscow on December 29; a report of a Soviet advance from December 29; and a report that the 11th Army had engaged with Soviet forces that landed at Kerch and Feodosiya, and that bad weather was hampering air cover.
