A file of correspondence concerning relations between Yugoslavia and Algeria. The correspondence covers the current state of relations between the two countries, amid concerns over the extent of Chinese ideological penetration in Algeria; the visit of a high-profile Yugoslav trade unionist; and a proposed visit by the Yugoslav president, Josip Tito. Further correspondence covers the visit of an Algerian delegation to Yugoslavia, led by Khaid Ahmed, president of the Foreign Political Committee of the Algerian Constitutional Assembly. The visit received much publicity in the Yugoslav press, and the delegates toured places of interest. A statement issued at a press conference paid tribute to Yugoslavia's rapid industrial development and the transformation of its agricultural sector.
