German Democratic Republic: Relations with Ghana

A file of correspondence concerning commercial relations between East Germany and Ghana. The documents cover the signing of a trade agreement between the two countries, with details of imports and exports. East German exports are to include machinery and equipment, agricultural machinery, electrical equipment, scientific equipment, and consumer goods; exports from Ghana will include foodstuffs, timber, hides and skins, and aluminium. It is also noted that no local publicity was afforded to the arrival of the East German delegation in Accra or to the signing of the agreement. The file also includes the text of the agreement and the export lists.
