Other subjects discussed in the file include a visit to the Soviet Union by the British broadcaster Melvyn Bragg; a proposal to restart Anglo-Soviet parliamentary visits with a visit to the United Kingdom by a delegation of the Supreme Soviet; and the competition faced by the association from the British-Soviet Friendship Society and the Society for Cultural Relations with the U.S.S.R., both regarded as "fellow traveller" organisations.
