Yugoslavia: Political Relations between Yugoslavia and Bulgaria

A file containing documents concerning relations between Yugoslavia and Bulgaria. The principal subject covered in the file is the long-running dispute between the two countries over Macedonia. Aspects of this subject discussed include a visit to Yugoslavia by the Bulgarian politician Pencho Kubadinski, which failed to make progress on the issue; the seventieth anniversary of the birth of the poet Nikola Vaptsarov, who was claimed as both Bulgarian and Macedonian; Yugoslavia's good relations with all neighbouring countries except Bulgaria; and a new book by the Bulgarian-Macedonian author Venko Markovski.
