A file of memoranda and meeting minutes concerning items under discussion at the Lord President's Sub-Committee on Accommodation. Subjects covered in the file include a request that the Home-Grown Timber Department of the Ministry of Supply be moved from Bristol to London, as the accommodation is required for other departments, as Bristol is an unsuitable place from which to travel, and as Bristol has therefore proved unsuitable for the department's needs, which include meeting with other officials and representatives of the timber trade. The department feels that, despite labour shortages in London, it would still be able to recruit suitable staff there. Further documents cover arrangements for the accommodation of the regional offices of the Ministry of Supply, the Ministry of Production, the Admiralty, and the Ministry of Aircraft Production in the south-western region.
