STAMFORD STREET, The following Reference should be LONDON, S.E.1., quoted:— X7265/165 Sir, I have the honour to forward you herewith copy letter of a and enclosure which has been received from Dr. Speiser, the representative of the German Clearing Office attached to this Department. It will be observed that Dr. Speiser requests that representations may be made to the Egyptian Custodian that he should consent to furnish direct to German nationals such necessary information as they may require regarding their property liquidated by him. In the case of the Dominions and Colonies, the Colonial Office has consented to direct communication, and I venture to enquire whether a similar permission could be granted in the case of Egypt.
